can't run install.php (get errors)

I am trying to install this mod to a new forum I have created. Just want to let you know that I am not new to installing this mod, I have successfully installed past versions of this mod to three other forums I operate, and never had an issue with the installation.

When I get to the point that I must run the install.php from the install folder, I get this error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

I am hoping someone can suggest a workaround or if there is a way to manually enter the code in the SQL database instead of running this install file.
