MOD request: group promotion

I was looking for a mod request section but could not find it. I hope it's alright to put this here.

Is it possible to have a mod that allows users to be promoted into a group after a certain number of points using the Ultimate Points by Femur?

To make the mod not focused on the UPS, it would also be nie to be promoted into a group (just like ranks) by posts. - Where post counts are used to determine acceptance into that group with acp settings possible.

Unfortunately I can't support other MOD authors' creations as I am not familiar with their work and don't really have a lot of time to be learning their code. For something like this you'll need to ask the author if he can add such a feature.
